The Old Castle was built in the 13th century, with 'modern' additions added in the 15th, but, for even more history, the bridge over the Carmel Water dates from the 9th Century!!

The New Castle is a masterpiece of late Victorian Arts & Crafts design by Scottish Architect Robert Lorimer. The wood panelled rooms are a delight and would also make a wonderful backdrop to the photos of your very special day.
